  i can't believe in the short time that i have been visiting ex-jw forums at just how much i have grown.

  since i first stumbled on this site i have stopped going to the meetings.

  i do feel a bit lonely, but am trying to manage it.

  let's be serious - if you really want people to have faith and to be able to now absolute truth why not perform miracles.

  why not make the bible a blank book and when you open it, it addresses you personally in writing of course.

  for instance it says, "hey confusedandalone this is what i need you to do.

  Oh well, better a dose of reality (Santa doesnt exist) than to pretend you have anything real to offer to the discussion eh (Santas sled actually travels at the speed of light).

  I liked your posts.

  Stick around and just post LESS would be my advice. Quite a few come on here guns blazing and burn out because they take it all too personal and serious. I myself dont like confrontation at all so have ended up pretty much a lurker and just an occaisonal poster.

  You have a lot to offer, just be more selective eh.

  What Would a Country Run by Evangelical Christianity Look Like?

  on an earlier thread i made the statement that, "an evangelical christian government would look a lot like the taliban".. laika asked me incredulously, "do you really think your friends from your old church would govern like the taliban!?".

  i thought it was a really interesting question and might work as a separate thread.. the people i worshipped with were mostly a nice bunch of people, but the thought of them having secular power would make me shudder.. christianity is mostly harmless because it lacks power.

  christian politicians are restrained by secular laws and constitutions.
